Terms of service
Overview
The Meadow Bakehouse is a small‑batch, gluten‑free micro‑bakery producing perishable goods made to order. By placing an order through our website, you agree to the terms outlined below. These terms ensure clarity, fairness, and a smooth experience for both you and our bakery.
1. Ordering & Payment
-
All orders must be placed through our website.
-
Payment is required at the time of ordering.
-
Because we bake in small batches and often to order, availability may vary.
-
We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order if an item becomes unavailable or if there is an issue with payment.
2. Pickup & Delivery
-
Customers are responsible for picking up orders during the designated pickup window selected at checkout.
-
If an order is delivered, it will be left at the address provided. Once delivered or picked up, responsibility for the product transfers to the customer.
-
We cannot offer refunds for missed pickups, items left outside, or damage occurring after the order leaves our care.
3. Perishable Goods
All baked goods are perishable and made without preservatives. Proper storage is essential for quality and safety. Because of this, we do not accept returns on any food items.
4. Quality Concerns
We take great care in crafting every item. If you believe there is an issue with your order, contact us within 24 hours with a description and photo. When appropriate, we may offer:
-
A replacement item on a future pickup day
-
Store credit for the value of the affected item
Refunds are issued only when we determine that the product quality or order accuracy did not meet our standards.
5. Cancellations
-
Orders may be canceled up to 48 hours before the scheduled pickup or delivery.
-
Orders canceled after that window may not be eligible for a refund due to the nature of our production schedule.
6. Allergies & Dietary Needs
All items are gluten‑free. However, customers are responsible for reviewing ingredient lists and communicating any allergies before ordering. We cannot offer refunds for reactions or concerns related to undisclosed allergies.
7. Product Descriptions
We do our best to accurately describe each product. Because items are handmade, slight variations in appearance, texture, or size may occur.
8. Use of Website
You agree not to misuse our website, attempt to interfere with its functionality, or engage in fraudulent activity. All content on this site—including photos, descriptions, and branding—is the property of The Meadow Bakehouse and may not be used without permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Meadow Bakehouse is not liable for:
-
Damages resulting from misuse or improper storage of products
-
Allergic reactions
-
Losses resulting from missed pickups or delivery issues outside our control
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service at any time. The most current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of the site or placing an order constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
